Deputy Éamon Ó Cuív asked the Minister for Communications, Climate Action and Environment if any of the preferred bidders for the broadband scheme have indicated they are already rolling out high-speed broadband in areas proposed to be covered by the national broadband scheme; if so, if it will require his Department to adjust the areas to be covered; the delay this is likely to cause for the tendering process; the amount of money set aside in each of the next three years under the capital allocation to his Department for the national broadband scheme; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
