333 Cecilia Keaveney asked the Minister for Transport if his attention was drawn to the National Safety Council Newsletter of August 2003 which indicated that research into child vehicle occupant fatalities in the period from 1996 to 2000 showed that 77 per cent of child fatalities were not to have been wearing a child restraint or seatbelt; if statistics are currently available to show whether this trend has improved in the period from 2000 to date in 2006; and could he make a statement on the measures being taken to deal with such statistics.
