Deputy Thomas Byrne asked the Minister for Education and Skills the number of participants on training programmes for the unemployed run by SOLAS in each of the years from 2007 to 2016; if funding to these programmes will be reduced due to decreasing demand from unemployed persons; and the reason expenditure on these programmes increased in 2016 compared to 2014 and 2015 in view of the general reduction in unemployment.
