Deputy Jerry Buttimer asked the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform if he will consider extending the time for appeals of decisions regarding rateable valuations, facilitating all interested parties having a right to appeal; that such appeals should be considered by valuers not previously involved in the matter and, where an appeal is successful, if the new rateable valuation will be backdated to the initial decision; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
