Deputy Michael Fitzmaurice asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine if he has looked at the problems for the forgotten farmer, farming from 2002 to the end of 2007 and under 40 years of age, who has no entitlements or very few entitlements; if his Department will help these farmers as Europe has sent letters stating that it is the member states themselves that will decide the issue; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
