Deputy Clare Daly asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine further to Parliamentary Question No. 293 of 10 March 2015, in which he acknowledged that no radical change in the aquaculture sector was to be expected from the Seafood Development Programme 2007 to 2013, the reason he is continuing with this policy of directing scarce resources into an industry that cannot, and will not, provide significant direct employment, that is dividing communities, that is destructive to the environment, and that is clearly in decline.
