Deputy Mairéad Farrell asked the Minister for Climate, Energy and the Environment the reason his Department has not listed the Owenriff River (Inverin) No. 140 and the Crumlin River No. 139 situated in the Galway Fishery District No. 9(1), in the proposed Wild Salmon and Sea Trout Tagging Scheme (Amendment) Regulations 2026, considering that both rivers contain native anadromous salmonids with Atlantic salmon being harvested from the Owenriff River (Inverin) in 2024 as per published data; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
