Broughan asked the Minister for Finance further to Parliamentary Question No. 55 of 16 July 2014, if figures are available on the number of people who applied to register under the relevant contracts tax system in 2012, 2013 and to date in 2014 who were refused to register as such; the reasons for such refusals; and if the Revenue Commissioners investigates the age profile, former taxation status and other circumstances of people applying to be registered as RCT workers to determine if they rightly qualify as self-employed.
