Deputy Aengus Ó Snodaigh asked the Minister for Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht if she will consider giving additional funding to an organisation (details supplied) so that in conjunction with Dublin City Council it can enhance the tow-paths along the Grand Canal from Harold’s Cross Bridge to Blackhorse Bridge to make it more secure on both sides of the canal, to develop a continuous cycleway linking to that from the Grange in County Dublin to Blackhorse Bridge and to upgrade the existing paths for pedestrians.
