Deputy Kathleen Funchion asked the Minister for Transport to provide a commitment that staff employed by a company (details supplied) who provide helicopter search and rescue cover to the Irish Coast Guard for the south-east region based out of Waterford Airport will transfer to the company that has purchased same; if it will be ensured that the pay terms and conditions of pilots and crew who operate the aircraft on behalf of the Irish Coast Guard are not eroded or altered by the decision of the Government to change the contract provider; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
