Deputy Peadar Tóibín asked the Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science his plans, if any, to allow graduate entry medicine programmes to become eligible for SUSI student grant support where students meet the income threshold; if he will indicate a timeframe for same, and in circumstances where students currently undertaking GEM programmes had not previously availed of the SUSI grant and meet the income threshold criteria, if they can avail of grant support for this academic year; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
