325. Deputy Thomas P. Broughan asked the Minister for Justice and Equality the total number of drivers who were visited by the Garda and asked to surrender their licences after receiving a letter from the Road Safety Authority requesting them to do this; the procedures used by the Garda to follow up on drivers who do not surrender their licences and those who have not previously surrendered their licences; and if she will report on the follow-up procedures in place to ensure drivers requested to surrender their licences by the Road Safety Authority do so in cases where they have not surrendered them to the Road Safety Authority when requested by letter and when the Garda has been informed of same.
