PQ 3263
3263. Deputy Colm Burke asked the Minister for Health the progress that has been made to date in respect of the implementation of the current National Immunisation Advisory Committee recommendations for older adult vaccination against influenza, pneumococcal disease, shingles, and respiratory syncytial virus, in view that a 2024 report commissioned by GSK Ireland, from the Office of Health Economics, estimated that full implementation of the recommendations would generate a return of up to €23 in socioeconomic benefit for every €1 invested by the State, and would also prevent approximately 375,000 cases of disease, 74,000 hospitalisations and 1,400 deaths; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
