Deputy Emer Currie asked the Minister for Transport the number of non-Irish EU citizens who have received penalty points for road traffic offences committed on Irish roads, by country, by year from 2022 to date in 2025; the number who were issued with a fixed charge penalty notice (FCPN); the number who paid the fine and received penalty points by year; the number summonsed to court for non-payment of the fixed charge notice; the number convicted and the penalties imposed; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
