Deputy Catherine Murphy asked the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage if he will clarify whether there is provision in the planning and development Acts, or in regulations made thereunder, that allow for the change of use of a house that is included in both the planning authority's Register of Protected Structures under section 51 of the Planning and Development Act 2000, and his own Department's National Inventory of Architectural Heritage, where the planning authority has made a determination under section 5 of the Planning and Development Act 2000 that such change of use requires planning permission but no such permission has been obtained.
