506 Mr. Stanton asked the Minister for Education and Science if, in the case of mature students who wish to avail of third level maintenance grant assistance and who were not living independently in October of the year prior to enrolment in a third level course, as required in order to qualify for grant assistance and who have to move away from home in order to pursue such a third level course, he will allow them to be recognised for grant assistance for the duration of the course or for at least the second and subsequent years of the course; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
