Deputy Liam Quaide asked the Minister for Transport his plans to ensure only drivers who have successfully completed the approved wheelchair manual handling course be permitted to drive, operate, lease, or otherwise use a wheelchair accessible vehicle under the WAV licence scheme to ensure these vehicles are operated by drivers properly trained to assist wheelchair users safely and respectfully; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
