346 Deputy Joe Higgins asked the Minister for Defence if his attention has been drawn to the fact that in the Defence Forces Ombudsman’s 2010 report, she noted that 13 individuals from the Air Corps submitted complaints/redresses to her office in 2010 alone; and if he will explain the way that this can be reconciled with the advice given to him by the military authorities which he included in his reply to Parliamentary Questions Nos. 493, 494, 495, 496, 497 of 14 June 2011, wherein it is stated that in the period since 2006, only two individual members of the Air Corps made complaints and that no other complaints were made against superior officers in the Air Corps.
