Bruton asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if his attention has been drawn to recent information published by Transparency International on the corruption perception index in which it appears Ireland’s position has deteriorated significantly in recent years; if he has considered assessing the elements in the Finnish policy which sees it consistently ranked as the country with the lowest perceived corruption in the world; and the elements he believes have contributed to the slide in Ireland’s ranking.
