Deputy Seán Ó Fearghaíl asked the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage if he is aware of a case involving a family in County Kildare (details supplied ) whose applications under the cessation of turf cutting compensation scheme (CTCCS) were verbally confirmed as approved in November 2025 but subsequently reopened and reassessed; the reason for this reversal and the change in evidential requirements, including the request for documentation that is no longer reasonably obtainable given the 15-19 year timeframe; and if he will intervene to ensure the applications are processed in a fair, consistent, and transparent manner in line with the original guidance provided; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
