Deputy Joan Collins asked the Minister for Social Protection her views that the criteria that eligibility for community employment schemes is only based on receiving a jobseeker's payment for 12 months at the time of making his or her application and that persons who are signing on for credits due to the fact that their partner is working is discriminatory on family grounds; and if she will consider changing the eligibility to include those persons signing on for credits.
