Deputy Brendan Griffin asked the Minister for Education and Skills further to the reply to Parliamentary Question No. 149 of 8 March 2017, the number of staff still in place nationwide under the 1978 scheme referred to; if the ancillary grant scheme has any involvement in the payment of school secretaries; if provision for pensions for secretaries exists or is permitted under the use of the capitation grant to pay school secretaries; if he plans any further engagement with unions to resolve outstanding matters; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
