Deputy Joe Neville asked the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth further to Parliamentary Question No. 311 of 20 February 2025, how a decision was made to award the contract in question since demonstrating compliance with planning law was a mandatory requirement of his Department’s own request for tender and as it would have been evident to his Department that this requirement could not be met by the tenderer because the relevant planning authority, Kildare County Council, had already determined the proposal to be in breach of planning law.
