Deputy Gerry Adams asked the Minister for Health the procedure to be followed by members of the national ambulance service who identify themselves as having mental health issues; if the Health Service Executive and the national ambulance service have a duty of care to such persons once they have identified themselves as such; where this information is imparted to a direct manager, to whom does he or she have the right to disclose it; if it is procedure to acknowledge correspondence from persons identifying themselves as having mental health issues; if ignoring such a revelation constitutes a failure of duty of care; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
