32 Deputy Bernard J. Durkan asked the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government the full extent of his capital programme for each of the next three years; the degree to which financial provision has been made or is likely to be made to achieve any particular or specific targets in the provision, upgrading and augmentation of domestic water supplies; the extent to which he intends to fund the capital programme of each local authority in respect of domestic water supply, sewerage facilities; the extent to which anticipated spending is likely to take place under each heading, including the elimination of water pollution caused by inadequate public sewerage facilities; the degree to which he intends to make provision for group water schemes and sewerage schemes that have featured in various local authorities’ projections for the past number of years; the extent to which his spending proposals are likely to be affected in the course of meeting the various local authority housing requirements either through new building programmes, acquisition of existing housing stock or other means; the degree to which he intends to provide the necessary capital to meet local housing loan fund requirements over the period in question; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
