Deputy Catherine Murphy asked the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government if he will provide a copy of the Government's initial analysis of the technical background to the European Commission's communication on 2030 climate targets, which, he told the Council of Ministers, raised some serious issues of concern from a national perspective, including concerns relating to the anticipated marginal abatement cost on which the framework is based and the projected overall cost in terms of GDP; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
