413 Deputy James Reilly asked the Minister for Health and Children if her attention has been drawn to information (details supplied) on ME chronic fatigue; if she will discuss this information with the Irish ME/CFS Association; if she will ensure that every reasonable effort is being made to investigate all possibilities in relation to furthering the investigations here in view of the fact that there are further studies being undertaken in the UK and the US; her plans to bring this to the attention of the Irish Medical Organisation and in particular general practitioners; her further plans to co-operate with authorities in Britain, Europe and the US to endeavour to arrive at a suitable treatment for this disease in the shortest possible time; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
