Deputy Charlie McConalogue asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine if he has had discussions with the Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation regarding submitting a formal request to the European Commission to increase state aid thresholds as set out in Regulation EU No. 1407/2013 in order to support agri-food enterprises and exporters in the event of a hard no-deal Brexit; if a formal request to adapt Regulation EU No. 1407/2013 will be submitted before 29 March 2019; and if not, the reason therefor.
