Deputy Pádraig Mac Lochlainn asked the Minister for Social Protection if she will consider measures to encourage and incentivise unemployed persons in this State to avail of employment opportunities across the Border in Northern Ireland by allowing them to retain their jobseeker's payment for the duration of any unpaid lying weeks they may have to serve and by subsidising them for the difference between the minimum wage in this State and Northern Ireland.
