Deputy Seán Ó Fearghaíl asked the Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science the steps being taken to address concerns regarding reductions in adult education provision in certain education and training boards, including Galway and Roscommon ETB, where it is reported that classes have been cut, teaching staff have lost employment and learners have been left without provision; to provide an assessment of the potential impact of these developments on learner numbers and access to services; to clarify his Department's approach to the recognition, employment conditions and workforce planning of adult education tutors; and the way in which the introduction of the adult educator grade addresses issues of further parity within the further education and training sector [38506/26]
