Durkan asked the Minister for Finance the extent to which he and his Department continue to examine the implications in respect of the European Commission’s decision to impose responsibility on this jurisdiction for the collection of taxes on income earned in other jurisdictions by multinational corporations with interests here; if it is recognised that this decision is clearly intent on dissuading foreign direct investment here, is in breach of EU treaties and, together with Brexit, will have a devastating effect on employment here; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
