Deputy Barry Cowen asked the Minister for Housing, Planning, Community and Local Government if, in the proposals being developed by his Department for mixed development on State-owned lands as part of Pillar 2 of the action plan on housing, there are mechanisms to be put in place which will ensure that the funds received from the disposal of former social housing estates for new mixed developments, which include 50% private housing, will be reinvested by local authorities in social housing elsewhere.
