Deputy Michael McGrath asked the Minister for Education and Skills if there are exceptions to the rule that a person who has studied to degree level in the UK and benefitted from free fees there cannot avail of any State support here to study an entirely different subject to degree level here, even if the person is studying a subject here in which there is a defined skills shortage; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
