402. Deputy Noel Grealish asked the Minister for Health the position regarding a person who was approved for fair deal funding and who was admitted to a nursing home while waiting for funding to come through in view of the fact this person has no assets or property of their own; if the Health Service Executive will backdate the fair deal payment in situations like this, as there is an outstanding nursing home bill that cannot be paid; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
