Deputy Kathleen Funchion asked the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth if his attention has been drawn to the fact that all childcare service providers must adhere to health and safety and fire safety regulations to be able to re-register in 2019 for the coming year; if he will consider allowing providers to use these funds towards other important capital improvements to their facilities in this round; and if there is a facility for providers to recoup same, given that many services have already heavily invested in fire safety from their own funds to re-register.
