Deputy Michael Lowry asked the Minister for Health if he will intervene with the Health Service Executive to ensure that the registration office in Thurles, County Tipperary, is reopened as a matter of priority; if his attention has been drawn to those in the Thurles and surrounding areas who now have to travel a considerable distance to either Nenagh or Roscrea to meet their legal requirements with regard to registering life events; if his attention has been further drawn to the disruption, cost and inconvenience this is causing to families; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
