Broughan asked the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government if he will report on the current status of three tranches of land in north Dublin (details supplied); if these lands are to be used for social and affordable housing; the cost of each of the three tranches of land and the way the land purchases were and are being financed; to confirm if a plan is currently being considered for Dublin City Council to dispose of these three sites for a nominal amount of €1 and to then apply to the Department of the Environment, Heritage and Local Government for funding to pay off the full capital and loan costs associated with each land purchase; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
