Deputy David Stanton asked the Minister for Finance the progress that has been made in the development of a new fuel grant scheme for disabled drivers to replace the current excise relief on fuel allowed under the disabled drivers and disabled passengers scheme, which is due to be discontinued on 31 December 2014 as per the ruling by the European Court of Justice in April 2013; when this will come into effect; if there will be a seamless transition between the two schemes; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
