Deputy Billy Kelleher asked the Minister for Health his views on a recent Irish Medical News survey of general practitioners which indicated that 90% of those surveyed do not believe that the Government was right to prioritise under sixes in the first phase of plans for universal GP care; that 97% of the GPs do not believe that general practice is adequately funded and resourced; that 96 % of the GPs do not believe that the Government will engage in a meaningful fashion on the clauses within the proposed new contract; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
