Deputy Barry Heneghan asked the Minister for Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Service Reform and Digitalisation whether his Department accepts that members of An Garda Síochána, the Irish Prison Service, full-time fire services and the Permanent Defence Forces who commenced service on or after 1 January 2013 and are members of the single public service pension scheme will, in general, retire on lower occupational pension incomes than comparable personnel who commenced prior to this date; whether this disparity has been formally assessed or quantified by service; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
