Deputy Éamon Ó Cuív asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Regional, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs the amount of funding paid to local authorities before the end of 2016 for works that had not been completed and for which no mature liabilities existed; the amount of this expenditure for which proof of the work being carried out has since been provided; if she will provide a full account of the expenditure provided; the number of these projects that have been inspected by or on behalf of her Department to ensure the work has been done to standard; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
