Deputy Brendan Smith asked the Minister for Finance if there is any provision to refund an overpayment of household property tax where a person who, when completing the household property tax form, ticked the incorrect band and hence is registered to pay an amount that does not reflect the actual value of the property and if there is provision to receive a refund; the provision there is to change the band to the one that is properly applicable to the property concerned; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
