Deputy Richard Boyd Barrett asked the Minister for Transport given that when the E2 bus route in Dublin was launched it was accompanied by a booklet outlining the expected time between buses would be every eight minutes during peak times and ten minutes for most of the rest of the day, his views on whether it is acceptable that in fact during the a.m. rush hour passengers heading towards Dún Laoghaire (around 8am) to link up with DART and trains have a wait time of between 20–35 minutes for a bus and in the evening on their return often see wait times of between 17 and 25 minutes displayed; if he will instruct the NTA in light of its responsibilities of drafting timetables to ensure an E2 bus service to passengers of eight minutes between buses and instruct them to have at least two more buses leave Harristown between 7.51 and 8.16 a.m. weekdays which is currently displayed on bus stop timetable; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
