Deputy Clare Daly asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade his views on a Hercules C130, registration number 16/8073 being in Shannon Airport on 1 October 2014 at 9 a.m.; his further views on whether it was not involved in any military operations or exercises, in view of the fact that the aircraft was operated by a Reserve Marine Corps squadron called the Rangers which has been involved in many operations in Libya and Iraq; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
