PQ 433

433. Deputy Clare Daly asked the Minister for Education and Skills if she will address the anomaly whereby her Department granted allowances to teachers who completed a further degree course during the school year 2011-2012; if they were working on 5 December, which has meant that those working that academic year working both before and-or after that date, but not on that date, have been denied the allowance even though they may have more experience and qualifications than those who were awarded it.
