Deputy Michael Lowry asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine further to Parliamentary Question No. 475 of 20 June 2023, and in view of the criteria stated in the native woodland conservation scheme (details supplied), if it is fair that this envisages the preparation and submission of the site-specific native woodland plan by a NPWS ecologist and NPWS forester to his Department prior to the clear-felling of the conifer forest taking place; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
