Deputy Róisín Shortall asked the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government if his attention has been drawn to the significant problem of persons who bought homes, especially apartments, under shared ownership or fully annuity loans who now require larger accommodation due to growing family size; if he has considered a submission on this issue from Dublin City Council made within the past couple of years; if he will give consideration to allowing such families to transfer their mortgages to bigger properties, as is allowed by certain banks; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
