Deputy John Browne asked the Minister for Justice and Equality her plans to increase the monetary limit of claims which can be brought to the Small Claims Court, in view of the fact that the €2,000 limit has remained static for almost a decade; if she is aware of the limits in the United Kingdom which were recently raised to £10,000 sterling with plans to increase them by a further 50%; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
