Deputy Bríd Smith asked the Minister for Health if there is provision in the granting of adaptation grants for persons with disabilities under SI 104 of 2014 for exceptions to be made to the maximum grant available in circumstances in which the household cannot make up the difference between the maximum grant available and the costs of much-needed adaptation of a home for a disabled child; and if there is another scheme available to persons in these circumstances that might bridge the difference.
