Deputy Pearse Doherty asked the Minister for Health the periods of leave and or time off work taken by staff at the oncology department at Letterkenny University Hospital during 2016 and in 2017 to date, in tabular form, including all such leave periods taken by post holders who are ordinarily responsible for or involved in the administering of chemotherapy treatments to patients; the dates on which each period of leave occurred; the duration of each in addition to in instances in which the period of leave has yet to conclude; the anticipated return date of the post holder; the temporary cover in place for the duration of the period of leave in each case; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
